Canadian blogger Damian Penny rips into the Dixie Chicks, who have decided having Cletus and Brandine buying their albums is just too icky for words, so they’ve dumped country music altogether. Damian wonders if it was country that dumped them, and they’re just realising it.

Turns out he wants to have a crack at actually winning an election one day, which I suppose is not unreasonable.

An article in Canada’s National Post said yes, then said no, the Left went berserk and claimed the right wing blogs were all part of their by now familiar sinister psy-ops conspiracy, although Powerline thinks there may still be something to the story. Which in itself is driving the Left crazy. Watch this space, this is exactly the kind of stunt Iran would carry out, Shia Islam has a long history of pulling precisely this sort of shit on non-Muslim minorities, and Amir Taheri wouldn’t just make this up. With the crazies in charge in Tehran, he doesn’t need to.

Like the Protestant church in Germany where the trendy vicar decided it would be way cool and tolerant to have an Easter service combined with a celebration of the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday!
