Shire Network News is the official podcast of the worldwide Anglosphere. You can contact the Executive Producer, "Tom Paine", here.

In the Full of Crap Report this week, Laurence Simon reveals how a dead blogger can make you realize the true beauty of both dead cats, and dead Palestinians.

Meryl Yourish, in "On Second Thought" discusses Israel Derangement Syndrome in relation to recent events in Gaza.

This week will also be the premiere of a regular feature from Brian of London, responsible for the blog Friends of Micronesia Brian will bring some much-needed British charm to this Anglospheric podcast.

This week's feature interview is with Dave of the blog Israellycool, who will share with us his observations on Operation Summer Rains.

In Blog News, five American soldiers are investigated on charges of rape and murder, and the Daily Kos blames it on "neocon theorists", while radio talk show host Melanie Morgan berates the press for not reporting all of the non-rapes and non-murders committed by our troops in Iraq every day.

Recently a man was beaten to death by "youths" (read: "Muslim gang members") on a bus in Belgium while a bus full of his countrymen looked on in horror, and then ran away like a bunch of sissies, leaving him to die. Paul Belien at The Brussels Journal muses that this is yet another sign of the total collapse of the Belgian culture in the face of the Islamist threat.

Meanwhile, the blog Planck's Constant reports that there is apparently a bustling underground trade in fake hymens among women in France. The takers? Muslim chicks, every one of them. It's easy to guess why. Ever heard of "honor killing"?

If your future bride-to-be asked you to sign a prenuptual agreement demanding that you would never pass up an opportunity to kill yourself and others if the chance came along, you'd rethink your wedding plans, wouldn't you? Well, acccording to the Toronto Globe and Mail, that's exactly what the wife of one of the "Toronto 12" terrorist suspects had planned. Not only did he go ahead and marry her, he thought the whole suicide and murder trip was a great idea, and set about making plans for it immediately. All of this is revealed in the online chat logs of the Toronto 12 spouses, who, even before the recent arrests, were constantly online gossiping together, a sort of "first wives club" for future widows through martyrdom.

Elsewhere, the Nordish Portal reports on a "Muslim Only" day coming up at the British theme park Alton Towers. Vladimir Putin's on-camera boylove session at the Kremlin inspired amused laughter among most, such as the posters at the Madame Chiang blog, but somehow just made one woman at The Situation Blog hate President Bush even more. And on a related note, the irony of Putin's recent decision to unilaterally invade Iraq in pursuit of terrorists did not go unnoticed by the blog Independent Sources.

Cindy Sheehan used Michael Moore's website to announce her upcoming 2-month "hunger strike", which will begin on July 4 - a protest event which, notably, Moore was not listed as participating in himself, although several others supposedly are. But sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between a celebrity hunger strike and a fad diet program.

Superman is back, and this time, he's got a soft side. A bit too soft, really, for blogger Debbie Schlussel, who in her online review of the film, enumerates the many ways in which the character has been made weaker to suit modern politically-correct mores. As if the tights and panties didn't already give it away, Superman has now come out of the phone booth closet.

And finally, New Orleans Council President Oliver Thomas recently unveiled his great new plan for cleaning up crime on the mean streets of the crescent city: Godzilla and King Kong. Really.
