Now am I a bad person for linking to a picture of a lingerie clad model? Will this offend our audience? I doubt it. The story is here.

There are quite a few write ups on the net of the Daniel Pipes, Douglas Murray Vs. Ken Livingstone, Salma Yaqoob. Pipes rounds some of them up on his site here.

Great work, again.  Thoroughly enjoy your podcasts :)

What is that chipper little "London Calling" tune that you play at the beginning (not Rule Britannia, at the end)?  I think I remember it from earlier BBC shows.  Seems very much out of tune with the current BBC, but perfect for SNN.

Hello and thanks for the comments.

The tune we start the show with is the theme music for the BBC World Service.  For a whole load more information you can look here.

"Lilliburlero has always been a controversial tune for the BBC to employ as an anthem. In 1972, the poet Robert Graves wrote a letter to 'The Times' newspaper complaining about the use of the tune in light of its anti-Catholic connotations. It survives, however, and remains one of the world's most distinctive tunes."

I'd like to make it clear that we here at SNN haven't got an anti-Catholic bone in our bodies. We're reasonably comfortable with most Christians these days (except for those Jews for Jesus, they worry some of us).

Very well done. I tuned in because of a Mark Steyn link (can we still say "tuned in") and am very impressed .

I am an American and commited an anti-Australian act.  The last time I made lamb chops, I burned them.  It was not my intent to make a political statement, I'm just not a very good cook.  I hope I will be forgiven by your great nation and it's people.

Great Steyn interview!

I'm also committed to lamb chops, especially marinated in Worcestershire sauce, tomato ketchup and Tobasco. It is very important not to burn them.
